A solid functional foundation is required to support excellent design. John Erickson believes both are best achievable with a collaborative approach to design. Functionality, character and personality of a design are the result of this true collaboration.

As a L.E.E.D. Accredited Professional, John has received training though the U.S. Green Building Council Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (L.E.E.D.) program that is one system used to guide the decision making process during design. He also has experience with other national and regional design guides and benchmarking systems used to ensure that sustainable design decisions are made. Through this experience, John is able to promote new advances in materials and building construction methods that result in increased energy efficiency.
